Text From A Friend is an award winning luxury cards and stationery brand. Our designs are inspired by texts, written by hand, then hand foiled and hand finished using sustainable materials. Some have anti-social messages. Some don't. Take your pick. I'm Sharon and I'm an Art Director/Designer based in Glasgow. Since graduating from Glasgow School Of Art I've worked on many brands, big and small, and I've won a few awards for it all. Text From A Friend started when I was heartily amused by the text messages some of my friends sent me. I scribbled their quips, posted them on social media. And so began requests to turn them into cards and prints. I've always had a passion for paper and the smell of print (who doesn't?) and never been one to produce a paper product without using the finest of materials. The card phrases are initially hand written, metal blocks are made and I use only the finest of paper and a traditional printing technique with a hand hot foil press to create fine pieces of (sometimes) anti-social media.
